2009 Spanish silver and gold coins.

The Royal Spanish Mint is issuing the 6th Series of collector coins in the Europa Program. This new issue is dedicated to the commemoration of King Philip II "the Prudent" (1527-1598).

The Royal Spanish Mint will also launch a very special issue to mark the occasion of the FIFA worl cup that will be held from June 11 to July 11, 2010.

Spain proof set 2009

Spanish 2009 proof set is announced for a issue in april. This set will contain nine coins: the 1ct to €2 with a proof release of the UEM commémorative coin. This is the only way having this commémorative coin in proof quality.

 2009 Irish Proof set / The Irish Proof set 2009 is announced for an issue in June or July. Eight coins from 1 €cent to €2 and in addition the EMU €2 will be included in this set for a total of nine coins.

2009 Austrian BU set / The annual Austrian BU set is announced by the Central Bank. This year, as in 2005 and 2007, there is no "Bertha Von Stutten" €2 coin. Only the EMU  €2 coin was minted this year.
