CEDA votes

It works in two simple stages:

• Initially, the Board of Directors proposes a list of 5 to 20 coins, coin sets, banknotes (or any other object within the collecting field of the Euro, as defined by the «Euro» catalogues, and therefore official and legitimate), issued during the current year. This list is issued during January.

• The proposals are then put online and each member can vote during a given period. A second round may be held if the winner does not stand out sufficiently. At the end of the voting (in one or two rounds), the result is announced.
  

Who decides?

Every European Association of Numismatics has its role to play in the awarding of the CEDA prize. You will indeed vote for the finest banknote, coin, paper money or any other euro-related object on the list. This is the only numismatic prize where the electoral college is made up of non-professional, active collectors, and therefore those primarily concerned by the banknotes and coins issued by our mints. To put it simply, we are offering you the opportunity to express your views on the quality of our mints' work in a constructive way. Do not hesitate: Give us your feedback!

This year's issues are numerous and, for a number of them, of high quality. The CEDA is an award which, in the minds of the ADE, must reward innovation, graphical quality, or even the intrinsic artistic value of the proposed euro banknote or coin, rather than its rarity and/or heritage value.
