The levels of involvement

THE LEVELS OF INVOLVEMENT

Depending on your time, skills and preferences, several levels of involvement are possible.

Board Member

The directors, numbering from six to twelve including four members of the Executive Committee, are the leaders of the association. They define the strategic direction, ensure the proper moral and financial management of the association, represent the members, and manage the volunteer teams and projects.

How do I become an administrator?

The directors are elected at the annual General Meeting; candidates must submit their application to the President (president@amisdeleuro.org) at least 15 days before the General Meeting (which takes place in November).

It is strongly advised (if not imperative) to apply only after active volunteering experience within the association, and to have a very broad overview of the various services offered by the association.

Board Member

The assistants are in charge of one of the association's activities: working directly with the trustees, they ensure the smooth running of the department / activity / sector for which they are responsible. Assistants operate at various levels:

– Internally, in order to directly contribute to the management and development of the association (secretariat, accounting, technical operations, external communication, member relations, etc.)
– On a specific area of numismatics (circulating coins, coin sets, varieties, banknotes, etc.)
– On a service offered to members or the public (Group Orders, forum, documents, etc.)

How to become an assistant?

Assistants are appointed by the Board of Directors; you simply need to apply to a member of the Executive Bureau, or by default to the President (president@amisdeleuro.org). Some positions require specific knowledge for which a certain amount of experience is necessary (IT manager, for example), others require specific knowledge of a field of numismatics, but a large number of positions can be held without any particular qualification.

Policy Officer

Project officers work on a one-off project or for a longer-term assignment. Working alongside one (or more) assistants (or administrators), they contribute to the smooth development of an activity or project. A project officer can operate at all types of levels:

– Providing support within a department (assistant to an assistant), generally on a long-term basis
– By providing logistical or technical support (one-off or long-term)
– Copywriting activities (particularly for the website) on a specific topic, generally on an ad-hoc basis

How to become a project officer?

The project officers are appointed by the President; you simply need to apply to the President (president@amisdeleuro.org).

Some positions require specific knowledge for which it is necessary to have a certain amount of experience (an IT project manager for example), others require specific knowledge of a field of numismatics (for a writing activity for example), but a large number of positions can be held without any particular qualification.

Dispatch Volunteer for Bulk Orders

Volunteer dispatchers work on a Grouped Order on an ad-hoc basis. Working in conjunction with the Director of the «Collection» section, they receive items in large quantities, prepare consignments and handle the shipping. There are no geographical constraints, except in very specific cases.

How to become a volunteer dispatcher?

For a given Group Order, the volunteer senders are appointed by the administrator in charge of Group Orders, the Director of the «Collection» section (directeur.collection@amisdeleuro.org).

It is not necessary to commit to multiple Group Orders to participate in Group Order shipments.

Language Coordinator

The AD€s are expanding internationally, and to achieve this, it is necessary to develop our activities in languages other than French. For a given language, language coordinators are responsible for the association's gradual adaptation into that language, notably by contributing to the translation of the website and the association's documents into that language. There are no geographical constraints.

How to become a project officer?

Language coordinators are appointed by the President; you simply need to apply to the President (president@amisdeleuro.org). It is necessary to be bilingual in the language concerned to apply.

Territorial delegate (regional/national)

How to become a regional/national delegate?

The regional / national delegates are appointed by the Board of Directors; you simply need to apply to the President (president@amisdeleuro.org).

The required qualities are those of a communicator, a unifier and someone who takes the initiative; the regional (national) representative is the association’s primary representative in their region (country).
