Around the listel, the words "BEATRIX KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDER", Béatrix Reine des Pays-Bas, in Dutch. At the six o'clock position, the date is framed by the different symbols (on the left a banded and armed bow, on the right the caduceus). The effigy of the sovereign, in right profile, is surrounded by the twelve stars of the European Community and small dots. Born in 1938 to the Orange Nassau family, she is the daughter of the previous Queen Juliana. Beatrix has reigned since 30 April 1980.
